[Regular Readers: This is a special post for CSA shareholders of Wolf Pine Farm in Maine. We'll be back to recipes tomorrow! However, if you're interested in easy access to fresh, local vegetables all summer long but don't live in Maine, do check out Local Harvest for farm offerings in your area. And if you belong to a CSA and think A Veggie Venture might be helpful for fellow members, please do e-mail me and I'll be happy to explore the idea. As you know, my mission is to evangelize the world about vegetables! - Alanna]Welcome, Wolf Pine Farm shareholders! Looking for recipes for fresh vegetables?
It's great fun but also a challenge, for sure, figuring out exactly what to do with all the vegetables from a CSA. Thanks to Wolf Pine Farm, fellow food blogger StephenCooks and A Veggie Venture, vegetable inspiration is now just a click or two away.
What follows is a preview of how Wolf Pine Farm's CSA shareholders will have easy access to vegetable recipes here on A Veggie Venture once deliveries begin in June. Each week, the share contents will be listed right here on this very page (so yes, do bookmark this page!), along with recipe favorites.

WHAT'S A VEGGIE VENTURE?
A Veggie Venture is a 'food blog', my very own website where every few days, I cook and write about vegetables. (Why? It started as a simple idea then took on a life of its own.) I also write a food column called Kitchen Parade, which my Mom started when I was a baby. It's published in my hometown newspapers here in suburban St. Louis and also online. You'll see recipes from both A Veggie Venture and Kitchen Parade featured here, special picks for Wolf Pine Farm subscribers.
I'm a home cook in a home kitchen, no fancy knives (though they're usually kinda mostly sharp!) or high-end stovetops (though I lust for two ovens!) here. I'm passionate about healthful eating and curious about food and cooking in general. Right now I'm exploring Mexican and Thai home cooking, you'll see examples soon.
For an e-mail subscription to A Veggie Venture, including vegetable recipes from St. Louis-area farmers markets once they reopen in mid April, add your e-mail address to Never Miss a Recipe on the right. St. Louis is in Zone 6 so our vegetables precede southern Maine's by three to four weeks.
